The Stay Put and Won't Budge Base - Maybelline 24 Hr Superstay Foundation

If I know I am going to be out and about all day , or planning a good ol' evening out , then this is the foundation I reach for , it has never let me down . It is one of those staple make up products that I will always replace when I reach the final pump in the bottle . The foundation is medium to full coverage ,
so you can sheer it out if you prefer a lighter finish , or buff a bit more in for extra coverage where you need it . Now this has a matte finish , so if I feel I want a little more glow to it , I mix in a little of 'Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation' or 'Revlon Skin Lights' and that just gives it a little something extra in the dewy department .

I do tend to wear a primer under this , as sadly I am a beholder of a number of large pores , and this being a long wear foundation (I've found most long wear foundations do this , no idea why ! ) , can sometimes settle in those pesky things . So the primer will just smooth things out and give me a better 'canvas' to work with .  I have this in the shade '010 Ivory' , which is a great match for my NC20/25 skin , they have 6 shades available on Feelunique.com , which vary from pale to a darker tone . And it's available over here , in most chemists/shops that stock Maybelline .

So the foundation itself claims to last 24 hours , now I haven't worn this for that long , however , I've worn it for 14 hours plus before , and I was impressed ! I touched up with some powder throughout the day , but that's it , and this stuff stayed put , it didn't start to separate as the day went on , nor did it oxidise on my skin . It also claims to withstand heat , humidity and sweat , and I feel I can safely say that it has passed that test in this heat , it didn't budge . Onto the claim of being transfer proof - is it just me that has been left mortified after giving someone a hug , and suddenly realising you have left a remnant of foundation or powder for them to remember you by ?! Argh . I have never met a foundation , that is 'transfer proof' , the same goes for this , it will stay put , but don't go giving someone in a nice black/white top a great big hug .. Just don't ..

I have read mixed reviews on this foundation , some love it , some not so much , I however do love it and always have . It ticks all the boxes for me , longevity , finish , coverage , shade , packaging (gotta love a pump ! ) , and it doesn't break me out . And they've only gone and made a powder within the same line , which I obviously purchased and will be giving a review on in the not so distant future !
