The Skin Care Soothers

I have had a bit of a rubbish couple of weeks with my skin , my face seems to be producing lots of angry looking little spots , on top of the already super annoying hormonal round your chin and under the skin painful spots (more like mountains in my opinion!) And on top of that , I had a
marvelously bad reaction to a new sun cream I tried out , so currently my face , back , and chest are all matching ! Wonderful !

With all this in mind , I thought I would go through a run down of products I have been using to calm these buggers down , reduce redness , and get my skin back to normal asap . My skin type tends to differ depending what season we're in , in winter it is more on the dry dehydrated side of things , whereas in summer , things can get a little more oily . To start off with I made sure to increase my intake of water , I already drink a lot of the stuff , but a little more can only help things along .

First thing on the morning , I have been using my Olay Anti-Wrinkle Face Wash , it leaves my skin feeling balanced and fresh , and isn't drying , it has little micro beads that exfoliate super gently . The main reason I bring this out when my face is in crisis mode is that it contains Salicylic Acid , which stimulates cell renewal and helps unclog pores , which when my skin is like this , is exactly what it needs !
After that I take some Tea Tree Oil , and dab it in the areas that are giving me problems (so everywhere!) , and give that some time to sink in . I find this really helpful at reducing the redness , and swelling , and just basically helping clean out the areas because of its anti bacterial properties .
I have been avoiding make up as much as possible lately , just giving my skin a break to get back to normal .
Now towards the evening I'll apply a face mask , the one I have been using lately is the Soap and Glory Fab Pore Mask , again this really calms my skin down , helps get into the pores and removes any gunk that's built up . I'll leave it on for a good while so it can get to work .
After rinsing this off , I have been using my Ponds Cold Cleanser (available in most chemists!), I massage it in , then run a clean face cloth under warm water , and rinse it all off . I love this stuff as it injects some moisture back into my skin , without it being to much , and my skin feels so soft and clean afterwards .

Lastly before bed , I've been applying another dose of Tea Tree Oil to the areas I need it , and then off to bed on a clean and fresh cotton pillowcase .
