Revlon PhotoReady Foundation and PhotoReady Compact Powder

I had bought these ages ago when they first came out , and absolutely adored them ! But I make a bad habit of after buying something new , whatever I was using before ends up lost and forgotten in the back of a make up drawer . So when I was sorting through some of my make up drawers last month
( and then giving up halfway through! ) I found them again , and remembered all over again why I loved them so much to begin with !

I'm a big fan of Revlon foundations , and have been since my very first purchase of their classic staple 'Colorstay Foundation' years and years ago . Which till now I always have in my stash ( a new one obviously! ) and this lead me to trying  their 'PhotoReady Foundation' , I have it in the shade 'Shell', which is a pretty perfect match for my skin , and they have quite a good range of shades to cater for different skin tones .
The coverage I would say is medium to full , but what I like is that it doesn't feel heavy on my skin at all , which some foundations with a fuller coverage tend to do . And because it feels light on the skin , it allows you to build it up should you need more coverage in certain areas , without it looking 'caked' on . The finish of this foundation is beautiful , it has a lovely healthy glow to it , and looks amazing worn on an evening to give your skin that extra radiance ( which my skin seriously lacks in ! ) .  I would suggest wearing a primer under it , just to give it that extra hold and smooth out any pores . And there is a pretty good helping of SPF 20 in this little jar , giving you a bit of extra protection !

Now onto ' Revlon PhotoReady Powder ' , I luurrve this stuff ! Same concept as its counterpart , and needless to say they go together beautifully . It has a bit of coverage to it as well , so perfect for touching up throughout the day or evening . The texture isn't chalky in the slightest , it's almost creamy in texture and blends seamlessly into the skin giving a gorgeous luminous finish . I love using this over a matte foundation as well , just to leave things looking a little less flat .

These two products are on the slightly more expensive end of the drugstore brands ( between roughly 13-17 euros from what I can remember, but I'll double check ! ) , but if it's within your budget , I really would recommend having a look at them next time your on the look out for something with this kind of finish , as I really think your getting your moneys worth with these .
