A Bit Of Lip Love

So here are my absolute faves for when the heat kicks in and the sun takes it up a notch . I personally don't like anything to heavy on my skin in summer , that includes any lipsticks etc . I've picked these out from my stash as they're comfortable to wear , and the formulas are great . And I like them .. A lot !

I'll start off with this , the ' Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter ' in ' Creme Brulee ' . These have been out for so long now , and there was such a big buzz about them when they came out , which I think is spot on . They are fantastic , there is a great colour range to suit all different skin tones , but I love this particular shade as a day to day go to colour . It's a beautiful caramel nude , with a slight shimmer running through it and really moisturising . It wont last ages on the lips , you'll probably need to top up every couple of hours , but I feel it's a great nude all rounder that would look gorgeous on anyone .

Next up is ' Chanel Rouge Coco Shine ' in 'Boy' . A bit of a cult shade , in that it is a beautiful ' my lips but better ' shade . The formula is fantastic it's hydrating , applies really nicely , and gives just a little more than sheer coverage . Yes at about 30 euros , it is expensive , but if you are on the look out for a more high end lipstick , then its worth investing in . Do I need to mention the packaging ? Oh , they just do it so well ! Unfortunately I haven't found the full range of shades over here , but if someone knows where they stock all the range , pretty please do fill me in !

Now this is a really pretty gloss that I've had since I can remember and always find myself replacing when it runs out - ' L'oreal Glam Shine ' in ' Sand Crystal ' . Ever the sign of a good product when you replace it year after year ! The lip gloss itself is fantastic , it doesn't feel sticky - who wants there hair getting stuck to their lips ?! Me neither ! - it goes on smoothly and doesn't streak . And this shade is the most fabulous ' bronzey gold ' - a real winner .

Another gloss is the ' Revlon Colorburst Gloss ' in ' Pink Ice ' . Again this ones a lovely formula , you need to top it up every couple of hours , but I think that's quite standard for a lip gloss . It's a very pretty sheer baby pink , with a slight silver shimmer running through it . Looks great on its own , or over a lipstick to give it a little somethin somethin .

Here is a little beauty , ' Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick ' in ' Amethyst Shell ' . I love the shade of this one , a bright fuchsia with a slight blue undertone , its just a gorgeous pop of colour to brighten up any look . Whether you want the bright lip , or if you're not so brave with colour , you can also just dab on the colour and blend it out for a more sheer look . Either way looks fab !

Last but not least , another Revlon product ( they're really bringing it in the lip department! ) , and a great summer colour ' Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain ' in ' Rendezvous ' . These are so handy for on the go , I love these crayon style lip products , they are just so bloomin easy to use for a no mirror needed application . A few swipes and your good to go . This particular colour is an exotic kind of orange , it just reminds me of summer and beaches . And would look amazing on a darker or tanned skin tone . Once the gloss fades your left with a stain , that will last pretty much all day . The only thing that bothers me about this , is the smell , like a synthetic mint . Apparently they've done something about it in their newer ranges , we'll see , I'm dying to get my hands on the lacquer version of it !

All the drugstore brands mentioned retail between about 10 - 13 euros .

There we have it , my fave lip products for this time of year , what are your go to products in summer ?
