The Volume Boost

My hair has always needed help with volume , it just doesn't seem to ever have that oomph on it's own . You know you see those girls with the gorgeous bouncy , airy , effortlessly beautiful looking hair ? Yes , well that's not me .. But I've always wanted it , and tried my hardest at achieving it .
Now I reckon that the two biggest components of having this kind of hair is down to a great hair cut , lots of layers and texture . And being naturally blessed with awesome hair . Sadly having none of these components (I'm yet to find that holy grail hairdresser, any recommendations would be fabulous!), I have taken matters into my own hands with a couple of simple products .

After washing my hair , and towel drying I use a good pump of VO5 Plump It Up Mousse and scrunch it through my hair . Tip my head over and give my hair a blast with the hair dryer upside down . After this , things are looking a little on the wild side , so gently go over it with a bristle brush.

My hair can also get a little flyaway , so my latest find to counteract this is L'Oreal Elvive Smooth And Polish Aqua Serum . This is such a lovely lightweight serum , I use one pump , and gently put it through the length of my hair . It smooths things out , and leaves a lovely shine .

Last thing is a good teasing brush . Something with natural bristles , I picked mine up at my local pharmacy , and they don't cost much at all , I think I got mine for under 5 euros . A little bit of teasing the hair at the roots and areas through the mid length , a good spritzing of hair spray , my favourite for volume is the VO5 High Volume , and that's that . The quick simple way to fake some volume .
