If you are a fan of scented candles , you'll know that some of them can cost a small fortune . So they're not something you want to burn constantly or on a daily basis just to give your home a freshen up . I like to keep more high end candles for occasions , or if I'm planning a chilled pampering night in ,
that way keeping them a bit longer ( for the price , I wish they were everlasting ! )
Alas onto these two brands I found at my local supermarket , 'Prices Candles' and 'Spaas' . I picked up the Sweet Vanilla scent from the Prices range , and the Mulberry scent from Spaas . They had quite a few different scents to choose from , some greater than others , but these two stood out the most for me . For the price of them , a mere 3-4 euros each , I wasn't expecting much at all , worst case scenario they'll come in handy for one of summers many power cuts ! But I have to say , I was pleasantly surprised !
You don't get the same kick of fragrance you would from a more expensive candle that would fill your whole house , but you do get a lovely light aroma that lingers in the room you light it . Which I find perfect for freshening things up indoors . And these two scents work together beautifully ! You get the fruitiness and slight tang from the mulberry candle , and then a lovely warm , not to sweet , creamy vanilla fragrance from the Price candle . Gorgeous !
Needless to say , after picking them both up for under a tenner , I was one happy bunny . I'll definitely be on the lookout for more of the range and any new additions . They seem to have a good selection in Tower Supermarket , and at The Lawn .
In the meantime I'm keeping an eye out for something with a hint of mint to it , perfect for this time of year !
