Now as I mentioned in my last post , I was not blessed with skin that tans - at all ! I came to terms with that many a year ago , but that just means I need to go a different route in achieving a a bit of a golden glow .
After experimenting with a few different face tan products , some of which gave more of an 'oompa loompa' look , as opposed to the more natural looking tan I was searching for .
I had seen the 'Garnier Ambre Solaire One Week Glow' (12.99 euros) on a few websites, but never heard much else about it otherwise , no reviews , no posts . I always like to do a bit of research before I buy something that catches my eye , to get a general idea what it's like . But there was just nothing I could find , it was all a bit of a tanning mystery ! I got an email from 'Feelunique.com' with 25% off tanning , and free delivery , and if that isn't a sign I don't know what is !
Well let me tell you , I don't know how I haven't heard more about this little beaut ! It goes on tinted so you can see where you're applying it , reducing the chance of any patches , doesn't have a fake tan smell , it actually smells quite nice ! Its a creamy texture , which feels great on the skin and wasn't drying . I would say apply lightly the first time you use it if you are very fair , and then if you feel you want to go darker just apply again . It takes a couple of hours before it starts developing properly , and after that your left with a really lovely glowy looking tan ! So much so , I didn't feel the need for foundation , just the odd bit of concealer on any blemishes or dark circles and I was good to go . Result !
As for the lasting 7 days claim , I have to say on my skin it started to fade on about the fourth day , but I still think that's pretty awesome staying so long with exfoliating and cleansing everyday ! And seeing as it's so easy to apply and doesn't take long to develop , its not much of a chore re-applying it .
So take that sun , I can now tan with no help from you ! I haven't seen this around any shops over here yet , but I got mine off Feel Unique and they deliver to Malta free when spending over £15 which is always a plus !
Now , excuse me while I have a look around for some bits and pieces to go with my new tanned self !
