'Mac Pigment in Tan' I think , is quite an under rated little pot of magic ! When I first got this as a gift one birthday , I thought ' yep nice colour - but a serious amount of product to get through for one plain looking eyeshadow , and boy is this going to get messy ! ' . How wrong was I !
Yes at first glance , it is a lot of product , especially just for the eyes , but this particular shade, a pinky bronze , has a multitude of different uses . So I thought I'd fill you in on a few of the ways that I think gives it that extra edge .
Firstly and most obviously , on the eyes , now this can get messy , I would say its best to either do your base make up after you've finished your eyes because of the fall out , or apply an extra layer or two of powder to the under eye area ; so once your finished you can dust away any fall out much easier . It's a good idea to use a base , for example a cream eyeshadow , or an eye primer , just so it has something to give it an extra hold . This colour looks beautiful swept across the lids for a sheer subtle colour during the day , or built up for more of a pop .
You can apply this wet as well , which really looks pretty fantastic as it gives an almost metallic sheen and the colour is so much more vibrant !
Moving on to a few other , maybe less obvious ways , but just as fab ! You can add a little pigment into your body moisturiser and sweep across legs , arms and décolletage for a gorgeous glow .
Mix a small amount into your foundation if you feel your skin is looking a little lacklustre .
Mix a small amount into your foundation if you feel your skin is looking a little lacklustre .
Next time your putting on your lipstick or gloss and want to add a little somethin somethin , carefully press on a small amount and blend gently on the centre of your lips for more dimension .
You can even use this mixed with nail polish to create your own look , whether you want a sheen all over , or just added to the tips !
The smallest amount swept across the top of cheekbones , brow bone and cupids bow , this makes for a lovely glowy (Is that even a word?!) highlight , and looks fabulous on a tanned or darker skin tone!
Always check on your particular shade of pigment whether it can be used on eyes and lips , as some shades cannot be used in those areas.
And it's best to pick up some product from the lid of the pot , that way avoiding using to much product , which can get way to messy - I want myself to glow , not the floor !
Mac Pigment in Tan ; not so boring after all huh ?
