Cocoa Brown One Hour Tan .. The Verdict

My venture into the world of fake tan went a little deeper recently , usually I stick with my gradual tan if I feel I need to take the edge off the 'Casper' look . However I decided to pick this one up in a recent online splurge .

I was nervous about trying this , worrying I would come out looking orange and streaky . Never the less , I gave it my best shot , and here's what I thought ..

I did the whole moisturise and exfoliate rigmarole in the days before , got my tanning mitt on and went for it . The texture of this is a very light airy kinda mousse , it went on smoothly and with a very slight tint to it . I would have preferred a slightly deeper tint , so you can see what your doing better , but on I went . I also made sure to do the whole circular motions , and go super lightly over knees and ankles etc . To me there was no fake tan smell at all , it did just smell floral , so there was no issue with that .
The tan says that it will develop after just an hour , then you can rinse it off . I wasn't quite content with the colour after the hour though , so I left it on for another hour or two . At the end of this , I panicked a little , because in certain areas it was looking a little muddy . Luckily once I had a rinse in the shower , the muddiness disappeared and I was left with quite a natural looking tan . It wasn't as dark as I had hoped ( might as well start at the deep end ay ?) , but I was about two shades deeper than my normal pale self .
This also claims to last about 5 days , which in my experience , didn't last quite that long , but I got a good 3 days out of it before it started to fade . And the tan faded evenly on me . I did find it a little on the dry side of things though , so I had to moisturise the areas I applied the tan a little more . But nothing I can't handle !

Would I buy it again ? Honestly , I'm not sure , but I don't know if that is because of me feeling a little more adventurous with the whole tanning malarkey now and wanting to try out some more lotions and potions of the stuff .
I would definitely recommend trying this though if you're a pal gal like myself looking for something that looks natural as it doesn't go to dark , and it did perform and last well . It's also currently at 50% off at feelunique at the moment , so definitely worth a go .

So all in all , I have to say a successful first endeavor into the whole fake tan arena . No oompa loompa look . I class that as a triumph .
