The Lip And Liner Combo

There's nothing quite as classic as a bold red lip paired with a sweep of winged out black eyeliner . It's a simple look that can be used for both a super glam style , or translated to more of a day wear . Yet with all that said , I'd never actually worn this look myself with a bright red lip - Well something
obviously had to be done about that ! And if that meant taking one for the team and purchasing the makeup necessary , well I guess a girl has to do what a girl has to do !

And I was not disappointed , the two that I went for in the end , were a couple of things that had been on my radar for a while . The Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Hot Pepper , (11.69Euros - feelunique) and Maybelline New York Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner in Black .(7.79Euros - feelunique)

I love a matte lip , and the Bourjois Velvets are right up my street , it packs a punch with pigment , and lasts for ever -seriously this stuff won't budge . The best way I found to apply this , is to take some time and layer it . Pop one coat on , let it dry , then another and so on . Three coats seems to do the trick . The applicator does the job , and makes getting into the corners and cupids bow a relatively easy job . This particular shade Hot Pepper is a perfect red for this , it's bold , it's bright - just what I was looking for . And they are so comfortable to wear . Total winner .

To pair up with the the bright red lip , I was on the market for a new eyeliner , something super pigmented , and I found it with this Maybelline Master Precise . It's one of those felt pen style liners , which personally I like . And this one does just the job , its uber black , has a very fine tip  so you can go as fine or as thick with your liner as you like , and generally just makes application as easy as possible - well , as easy as eyeliner can get anyway !

So if your on the lookout for that perfect bright red lip and a black eyeliner , then I would definitely give these a go . And at a drugstore price point , they are seriously giving the more high end products a run for their money !
